In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1) in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 or the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1903 the Department of State Office of Acquisition Management is conducting this acquisition of than full and open competition for General Dynamic TACLANE Encryptors (175F) on behalf of the Bureau of Information Resource Management, Systems Integrity Division (IRM/FO/ITI/SI). The Cryptographic Services Branch (CSB) is the office responsible for COMSEC Operational Policy and Procedures within the Department of State and the COMSEC custodian of the Department's cryptographic resources inventory. The KG-175F encryptors are required in order for CSB to continue providing the Department with Type 1 encryption devices that secure information. The equipment requested is NSA approved and can only be purchased through the manufacturer General Dynamics.
