The Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Research and Development Branch (DS/PSD/RD) developed an FEBR glazing system in 2010 based on the DuPont SentryGlas product. In 2019 DS/RD optimized the DS SG glazing system using Kuraray’s new interlayer SentrGlas Xrta (SGX) to pass the SD.STD-01-01 Rev G(amended) FEBR standard. DS/RD is in the process of rolling a new FEBR standard the proposed SD.STD-01-01 Rev H. This test effort will seek to develop an SGX based layup that will pass this new standard.
