The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) is responsible for the protection of U.S. personnel, official facilities and residences domestic and overseas at over two hundred sixty (260) Foreign Service posts worldwide. In support of all the DS Missions abroad and within the U.S., the requirement to escort and transport classified pouches by courier services must be accomplished and reach those destinations. In pursuit of those objectives DOS requires that courier escort services be provided by a variety of labor professionals as outlined in this description of requirements.
