INL/WHP: Guyana & Suriname Gold Traceability

Notice ID:191NLE26C0042

A sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract was awarded by the State Department's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) for a project addressing illicit gold mining and smuggling. The work will be performed in Guyana and Suriname, with a period of performance from August 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, extendable through December 31, 2028. No solicitation was issued, and the award was justified under the "only one responsible source" authority. The project aims to combat transnational crime and narcotics trafficking by reducing the flow of illegally mined gold from the region into legal markets. This effort supports INL's broader mission of strengthening partner nations' law enforcement capacity and protecting U.S. national security interests.
