INL Guatemala requires the purchase of plate carriers and accessories for the members of the Special Naval Forces (FEN). This purchase will increase the unit's capacity to conduct counternarcotic and transnational crime missions as well as capture extraditable individuals to combat criminal organizations disrupt narcotrafficking activities throughout Guatemalan borders. The plate carriers and accessories are necessary to provide adequate protection and safety to the FEN members while conducting high risk missions as part of their daily functions. These supplies will assist both the United States and Guatemalan Governments' efforts towards confronting criminal activity and illegal trafficking expeditiously.
