The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the US State Department's intent to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price sole source purchase order with Grupo Vision Inversiones Guatemaltecas SA located at 18 Calle 24-69 Zona 10 Centra Empresar; Guatemala for the purpose of providing maitenance on the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). The Government intends to purchase the following units and quantities: One Year of Preventive Maintenance and Remote and On-Site support program for Government of Guatemala’s AFIS system, including: “BACKEND EQUIPMENT OF AFIS SYSTEM IN PNC “located at PNC’s headquarters in Guatemala City, Guatemala. 10 AFIS workstations (5 desktop workstations, 5 portable workstations), “AFIS EQUIPMENT IN 24 HOURS COURTS, GABINETE CRIMINALISTICO AND INACIF”. 30 AFIS Workstation (22 desktop Workstation, 8 portable Workstation), “AFIS EQUIPMENT INSTALLED IN DEPARTMENTS OF GUATEMALA AND PUBLIC MINISTERY” and “8 PORTABLE STATIONS FOR ENROLLED FINGERPRINTS IN GABINETE CRIMINALISTICO- GACRI “ and “EQUIPMENT Y PENITENTIARY SYSTEM” 3rd-Level support for backend system from AFIS manufacturer (Gemalto/Thales), including any license fees. Monitor the use and performance of the system. Make reports to fulfill the supervision requirements of the users and system resources. Interacting with developers of applications for enrollment and issuance of identity documents and/or third parties The Government intends to negotiate solely with Grupo Vision Inversiones Guatemaltecas SA as per FAR Subpart 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561621. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. However, responses received by 6 June 2022 5:00 PM Eastern Time will be considered.
