The Department of State, Bureau of Arms Control Verification and Compliance, National and Nuclear Risk Reduction Center (AVC/NNRRC) operates an air-gapped network - NNRRCNet - through which treaty and confidence building agreement notification messages are recorded, translated, and prepared for dissemination to stakeholders. Files are transferred to and from NNRRCNet via encrypted removable media devices that are checked for malware using standalone air gap security/data sanitization appliances. The NNRRC’s current solution will be end-of-life in approximately two years, and the NNRRC is exploring options to replace it with a comparable solution. For the purposes of this sources sought, the NNRRC is not interested in connected cross domain (bridge) solutions, only air gap solutions.
