This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) to procure Koehler or equivalent cordless cap lamps with portable chargers for The Mine Safety and Health Administration’s (MSHA) Mine Safety and Health Enforcement division. The environment of an underground coal mine can be extremely dark. Our inspectors require cap lamps to see in these conditions. The Mine Safety and Health Administration’s (MSHA) Mine Safety and Health Enforcement presently uses cordless caplamps for our inspectors. This cap lamp must also be approved by MSHA as intrinsically safe for use in underground mines. See attachments for product specifications as well as distribution lists.
