The deadline for quotes was extended to 08/07/2024. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has an ongoing interest in market data with which to analyze, evaluate, and improve the indexes it produces. Specifically, the BLS is seeking detailed data for wireless and wireline telecommunications service plan prices as listed in the Scope of Work. BLS would like to wholly purchase this data, as opposed to a temporary lease of the data. The BLS is the principle Federal agency responsible for measuring price changes in the economy and constructs indexes using data collected from both households and business establishments. Because of the importance of BLS data, it is critical that the component indexes are accurate, timely, and relevant. The BLS is looking for 4 years of telecommunications services data consisting of consumer/residential rates or transaction prices for the following products/services: • Wireless telephone (talk, text, and data) • Residential telephone • Residential and fixed/home wireless internet access • Live television (cable, satellite, live stream) • Bundled combinations of these services • Other TV media/streaming services (streaming that is not live) The Contractor shall provide monthly telecom price data delivered in excel workbook via email, on/around the 10th of each month for 48 consecutive months: September 2024 through September 2028 with the first data month being October 2024 as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW).
