Heat Stress Monitors: The item to be purchases is similar to the TSI QT-34 Heat Stress Monitor, Datalogging, Part #QT-34 1. Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) Heat Stress Monitor (Quantity - 31) The meters sought will measure the environmental conditions needed to accurately calculate, display and record the Wet bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT). The WBGT must be derived using the following equations. - Outdoor: WBGT=0.1 x (Dry Bulb) + 0.7 x (Natural Wet Bulb) + 0.2 (Globe Temperature) - Indoor: 0.7 x (Natural Wet Bulb) + 0.3 (Globe Temperature) - The dry bulb temperature is the ambient air temperature. This is the temperature without impacts from other factors - The natural wet-bulb temperature is the lowest temperature that the air may be cooled through the process of evaporation only (given a constant pressure). For the purposes of this contract the devices sought shall measure the natural wet bulb by thermometers that are wrapped in wetted wicks. - The Globe Temperature (GT) measures solar radiation and other sources -The devices shall be portable and data logging.
