This amendment does not extend the Phase 1 proposal due date of 2/21/2023 at 2:00 PM ET. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Request for Proposals (RFP) 1605AE-23-R-00003 Design/Build Physical Security Upgrades at the Miami Job Corps Center The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) seeks the services of a qualified contractor to complete the design/build construction of the Physical Security Upgrades at the Miami JCC, located in Miami Gardens, Florida as described in the RFP. The Government intends to utilize Two-Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures as described in FAR 36.3. Evaluation factors are detailed in Section L of the RFP. This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 236220, with a Small Business Size Standard of $39.5 million. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the magnitude of construction for this procurement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The successful offeror shall be registered via the System for Award Management (SAM) internet site at https://sam.gov/content/home. An organized site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM ET at the Miami Job Corps Center (3050 NW 183rd St, Miami Gardens, FL 33056). Additional details regarding the site visit are provided in the RFP. PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Physical Security Upgrades at the Miami Job Corps Center RFP# 1605AE-23-R-00003 NAICS: 236220, Commercial and Industrial Building Construction This notice is posted to publicize the Government’s intent to solicit a firm, fixed price (FFP) design/build construction project for Physical Security Upgrades at the Miami Job Corps Center (JCC) on or about January 20, 2023. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) seeks the services of a qualified contractor to complete the design/build construction of the Physical Security Upgrades at the Miami JCC, located in Miami Gardens, Florida. The project involves design and construction services for physical security upgrades to the Miami Job Corps Center that include but are not limited to; a security entrance building addition to Building A, approximately 760 GSF; site perimeter fencing and precast concrete wall and site access controls at the primary site vehicular entry locations. In addition, provisions to accommodate the future installation of voice, video security systems, and associated electrical connections is included in the design and construction. The fencing and wall design and installation consists of precast concrete wall, steel wrought iron fencing, heavy gauge privacy screen/chain link fencing, electrically powered sliding gates and single arm gates, and associated conduit routing. The work also includes the design, permitting, and installation of a service vehicle entrance road from an existing State Road and local public space and existing parking lot modifications and repairs at the Miami Job Corps Center. The work also includes miscellaneous site improvements in the form of general landscaping, sidewalks, roads, parking, concrete island demolition and re-construction, paving, site drainage, connection to all utility lines and site/security lighting.
