This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1) and FAR 5.207. This proposed action is for the procurement of Fresenius 2008T hemodialysis systems for the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) located in Springfield, Missouri. NOTE: Award is contingent upon funds being made available and further approvals. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This proposed procurement will be a single source award under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334510-Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing, with a Small Business Administration size standard of 1250 employees. Description of Requirement: 2008T HD SYS. CDX BLUE STAR -Fresenius USA (FUSA) shall supply sixteen (16) 2008T hemodialysis systems to USMCFP Springfield. -Each 2008T system shall include one (1) Acid/Vinegar Jug. -FUSA shall also provide one (1) 2008T Operators Manual. -FUSA shall dispose of existing 2008K or 2008T machines on a one-to-one ratio with the purchase of new 2008T machines within 60 days of new equipment purchase. -Installation fee for new equipment shall be waived. -FUSA shall warranty parts and labor for twelve (12) months from the date of installation. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Oficer by the response deadline detailed in the Contract Opportunities Posting. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received that show competition would be advantageous, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Fresenius USA (FUSA).
