This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1) and FAR 5.207. This proposed action is for the procurement of a Parata Perl Pouch Inspector system with Cut & Roll system for the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) located in Springfield, Missouri. NOTE: Award is contingent upon funds being made available and further approvals. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This proposed procurement will be a single source award under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334514-Totalizing Fluid Meter and Counting Device Manufacturing, with a Small Business Administration size standard of 750 employees. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside and FOB destination. Description of Requirement: Parata Perl Pouch Inspector system with Cut & Roll system including license, worktable, Delivery, Installation, Training & Warranty. Maintenance after warranty for a period of 3 years. The equipment must be integrated with the existing Parata PASS 208 system. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a Sole Source award under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Parata Systems, LLC, 2600 Meridian Parkway, Suite 100, Durham, NC 27713. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by the response deadline detailed in the Contract Opportunities Posting. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received that show competition would be advantageous, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Parata Systems, LLC.
