Federal Prison Industries – UNICOR, Sign Factory at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Cumberland, Maryland, will be conducting an on-site Industry Day to highlight upcoming requirements for the Sign Factory in order to gain industry input from all interested businesses having the capability to supply the materials needed for operations of the factory. These are upcoming requirements and are anticipated to be solicited within the next 3-6 months electronically on www.SAM.gov. There will be a tour of the Sign Factory to display the operations and a short briefing conducted during the site visit. This is not a Request for Proposal, an Invitation to Bid, or a Request for Quotation. Therefore, this event is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract nor will the Government pay for information provided to the Government in a response nor pay for administrative costs incurred attending the Industry Day event. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with travel or providing information in response to this announcement. ATTENDEES: This event is open to large, small and socio-economic businesses who are registered in System for Award Management (SAM.gov) for the NAICS fields denoted below. Additionally, by this date, all participants must have completed and submitted a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) background clearance form. We will strive to notify all vendors the status of approval by Friday, August 11, 2023, and no later than Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
