This is a pre-solicitation notice for Federal Prison Industries (FPI), UNICOR, with intent to issue solicitation LUKE001-19. The FPI Procurement division on behalf of DCMA, Luke Air Force Base intends to issue a solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR resulting in a firm fixed price, Construction Type Contract. This announcement is restricted to 8(a) Small Business (SB) only and competition will be limited to 8(a) firms located within the geographical area with a bona fide place of business in the State of Arizona. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 236220, commercial and institutional buildings and related structure construction. The RFP is anticipated to be issued on or about February 6, 2019. A mandatory site visit to be held on February 20, 2019 (see solicitation for details). A completed site visit form must be received via email to Christy.Rios@usdoj.gov on or before 1:00 PM PST, FEBRUARY 11, 2019. No exceptions will be made for anyone returning the necessary information after the stated date and time. Attendance is limited to up two (2) persons per vendor. See solicitation for details on requirements for guests to be granted base access. Question will be accepted IN WRITING ONLY via email to Christy.RIOS@usdoj.gov from a period beginning February 20, 2019 ending March 1, 2019 at 1:00 PM PST. Responses to questions shall be posted in writing to FBO no later than March 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM PST. Bid proposal will be due NO LATER THAN April 12, 2019, late bids will not be accepted. Anticipated contract award date will be based off the number of bid proposals received but is expected on or about April 30, 2019. The solicitation will be posted to the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. This site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed through the referenced website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
