The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Golden Engineering, Address: PO Box 185 Centerville, IN 47330-0815, for the purpose of general maintenance of X-ray generator models XR150, XR200, XRS3, and XRS4. Golden Engineering holds the patent on these devices and devices must be repaired and maintained by Golden Engineering. This brand name maintenance is to support an existing system. Based on market research, it has been determined that this procurement action can only be facilitated with Golden Engineering for continued uniformity of operations for X-ray generators. Uniformity is required for safety and communication values. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
