The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one-time, sole-source basis to: Geissele Automatics, LLC, 800 East Walnut Street, North Wales, PA, 19454 for the acquisition of Carbine Components. This one-time acquisition will include; Part Number 05-851B, (Geissele Government Charging Handle); Part Number 05-430B, (Geissele 10 Inch Super Modular Rail Federal, Black); Part Number 05-430ODG, (Geissele 10 Inch Super Modular Rail Federal, Green); and Part Number 05-916, (Geissele SSA-X Nano Wide Body Trigger Top Level Assembly). These unique products are highly specialized and are utilized by the FBI’s Weapons Maintenance Facility as critical parts for the carbine build. These components have been tested by the FBI’s Ballistic Research Facility, for fit, quality, and function with the program specific Colt pattern carbine. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
