The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Golden Engineering, Address: PO Box 185 Centerville, IN 47330-0815, for the purpose of purchasing XR150 X-ray kits, quantity of four. This procurement is in support of an ongoing requirement for a lightweight irradiation system suitable for deployment in hostile environments. Only this source can furnish the requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because these kits are manufactured and sold by only one vendor. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
