The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Geissele Automatics, Address: 800 North Wales Road North Wales, PA 19454 for the purpose of purchasing Geissele 16" barrel assemblies. This procurement is in support of ongoing capabilities enhancement for sniper/observers. Only this source can furnish the requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because the barrel assemblies must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with existing systems presently installed. These are "direct replacement" parts/components for existing equipment. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
