The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one-time, sole source basis to: X Fund Properties LLC doing business as DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando/Universal Studios, 5780 Major Blvd., Orlando, FL 32819 for the purpose of providing meeting space rental to include audio visual requirements for the CART-X: Technical Exchange Conference to occur September 27-29, 2022. This hotel location is the approved site for the Computer Analysis Response Team (CART) Conference and a Letter of Intent (LOI) has been signed. Forensic Examiners (FE) regularly face the challenges and demands of collecting digital evidence from electronic media that is constantly evolving. It is important to gather representatives from across the Bureau to assist in workforce modernization, the sharing of best practices, and the improvement of both resources and understanding. The resultant contract will fulfill the FBI’s requirement to bring together the FBI FE workforce to address the ever-emerging new technologies and capabilities of the field by educating the FBI FE workforce and improving connections within the community of FBI FEs. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
