The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one time, sole source basis to: Murphy Tower Service, LLC, 20220 Hwy 5, Carlisle, IA 50047 for the purpose of replacing two antennas at the Davenport radio tower site located at 3977 Belmont Road, Bettendorf, IA 52722. The Davenport radio tower site is managed by a company that restricts and controls the general tower repairs, inspections, and lighting systems maintenance and tenant projects done to the Davenport radio tower site for liability reasons. The management company has dictated that the FBI use Murphy Tower Service, LLC for the removal and replacement of two antennas on the tower. The resultant contract will allow agents and other law enforcement personnel to have a functioning communication system to complete daily investigations. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
