The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one time, sole source basis to: Izotope Inc., 60 Hampshire St., Cambridge, MA 02139 for the purpose of providing the Izotope software license dongles which is a proprietary product only available from Izotope. Isotope is an audio software solution that is the industry standard for audio repair. Whether in the field or in the lab, Izotope allows law enforcement and other forensic professionals to clarify and enhance audio for casework and examinations. The resultant contract will fulfill the FBI’s requirement to maintain and upgrade its software to ensure that scientific examinations conducted by the FBI Examiners have state of the art technology. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
