The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one time, sole source basis to: Innovative Power Systems, Inc., 43676 Trade Center Place, Suite 125, Sterling, VA 20166 for the purpose of acquiring the UPS Advantage Ultra Service for one base year plus four option years. This annual preventative maintenance includes a comprehensive visual, environmental electronic inspection of the Uninterrupted Powers Supply (UPS) and/or Power Distribution Units (PDU) system to ensure the components are preforming to defined technical and environmental specifications. It also includes on-site remedial services by Schneider Electric Critical Power and Cooling Services who will dispatch certified personnel the next business day to provide repairs in the event of a problem. Parts, labor, travel and priority access to spare parts are included. Only Schneider Electric is certified to perform maintenance service on their equipment. Innovative Power Systems, Inc. is the Virginia partner used to purchase Schneider Electric maintenance agreements for Schneider Electric equipment. Unforeseen power outages may cause the FBI’s Digital Collection Systems to fail and possibly cause irreversible loss of evidence gathered. The resultant contract will expedite on-site response time in case of equipment failure and provide annual maintenance to the equipment. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
