The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one time, sole source basis to: Radio Towers, Inc., 4318 Division Avenue S., Grand Rapids, MI 49548 for the purpose of providing the following professional services: replace 450 ft of 7/8" cable with 525 ft of 1 5/8" cable with connectors and hangers; replace 550 ft of defective 1 5/8" cable with new 550 ft of 1 5/8" cable; removal of three DB-264 antennas; installation of three new DB-224 antennas; and reposition from 450 ft level to 480 ft level at the Kent radio tower in Grand Rapids, MI. Radio Towers, Inc., the tower owner, is solely authorized to complete these services at their site. The resultant contract will fulfill the FBI's requirement to repair faulty equipment at this site. This will allow agents and other law enforcement personnel to have a functioning communication system to complete daily investigations. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
