The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one time, sole source basis to: Procom Communications, LLC, 8260 Patuxent Range Road, Jessup, MD 20794 for the purpose of upgrading the FBI's WAVE Server System infrastructure to support automatic failover to another location. The material or service must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with existing systems presently installed. Due to an existing service and licensing agreement between Procom Communications, LLC and Motorola, a sole source requirement is necessary. The resultant contract will fulfill the FBI's requirement to upgrade the current system and allow for redundancy. This will allow agents to have a functioning radio communication system to complete daily investigations. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
