The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Motorola, located at 7031 Columbia Gateway, Colombia, MD for the acquisition of license upgrades. This requirement is proprietary to Motorola due to the upgrade aspect of this. The system is not end of life and are just renewing the licenses. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), vendors that feel they can meet the Government's requirements detailed above may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In accordance with the FAR, the Justification for Sole Source will be posted 14 days after the award. The acquisition will be conducted through the FAR Part 13 "Simplified Acquisition Procedures." The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334220. The business size standard is 1250 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available. Closing date for submitting a capability statement is September 20, 2019 at 3:00 P.M.
