This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and the solicitation will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website. The solicitation number is CT2276-20 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-101. The North American Industry Classification System code is 339993 fastener, button, needle and pin manufacturing, the SBA small business size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is UNRESTRICTED. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a four (4) year firm-fixed price Requirements type contract with an EPA clause for the following commercial item: Slide fasteners, Brass for use in manufacture of general purpose utility coveralls, Green 3454 (Shipboard) for military personnel. The slide fastener shall conform to the requirements in section 3.2.6 of A-A-55095A dated 1/12/2004. The finished coveralls are for sale to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
