The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates a contract for the nationwide implementation of an inmate tablet program, providing hardware, software, and support for approximately 150,000 inmates across 115 institutions. The performance period includes a three-year base with five one-year options. The contract requires a proven, three-year corporate history of implementing inmate tablet systems in a state or federal corrections setting. All solutions must be hosted in AWS GovCloud or Azure GovCloud, comply with stringent federal IT security standards, and include specific accessibility features like text-to-speech and tactile keyboards. The requirement will be solicited on an unrestricted, open-market basis for a firm-fixed price, single award.
