Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense Subject: Ballistic Insert Kit/Thrust Guard Insert Kit The primary objective of this RFI will be used by the Contracting Staff to develop an acquisition strategy on raw materials used to produce protective gear. General: Federal Prison Industries, (UNICOR) currently produces protective gear for various federal agencies to include DOD and GSA. We are researching sources for our raw materials in manufacturing these end items. In addition to the currently awarded contracts, UNICOR intends to quote on future solicitations of both the US Military and other various Federal Agencies.
