This project involves replacing the aging geothermal system at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Yazoo City, Mississippi, with a new system using three air-cooled condensers for approximately 15,500 square feet of building space. The contractor must cap and abandon the original system, pour concrete pads, core drill walls, and connect all refrigeration and electrical lines. Work is limited to Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, excluding federal holidays, with a total project timeline not to exceed 150 calendar days. Strict security rules apply, including constant escorting of workers and a ban on electronic devices, tobacco, weapons, and certain clothing colors. A site visit is scheduled for June 16, 2026, at 10 AM CST.
