** SEE ATTACHMENT for additional information. ** Evaluation of the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Reentry Programs In collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) seeks to support a contract to evaluate reentry programs offered by the BOP in response to the First Step Act (FSA) of 2018 mandate which requires the “ongoing research and data analysis” on evidence-based recidivism reduction programs (See 18 U.S.C. § 3631 (b)(3)(A-C)). The evaluation should examine outcomes related to reductions in recidivism as well as other related outcomes (e.g., housing stability, employment, demonstrating academic engagement, participation in structured activities, food security). In support of the contract and evaluation, deliverables must be developed to document findings from the evaluation. The evaluation will focus on the following BOP reentry programs: (1) Female Integrated Treatment (FIT), (2) Foundation, (3) Threshold Program, (4) Life Connections, (5) Steps Toward Awareness, Growth, and Emotional Strength (STAGES), (6) Skills Program, and (7) Non-residential Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP-NR). ** SEE ATTACHMENT for additional information. **
