PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED.?The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a one-time, sole-source, fixed-price contract to Gentueri, Inc., 312 Locust Drive, Verona, WI 53593 for the purpose of procuring (100,000) Custom Made DNA Pouches. ? The FBI's Federal DNA Database Unit (FDDU) requires (100,000) 4.5” by 3.75” Custom Multi-barrier Envelopes to support its laboratory work in the Laboratory Division (LD). These units will replace the current remaining supply of envelopes. This will allow the Federal DNA Database Unit (FDDU) to continue to store and process the high quantity of samples being submitted to the laboratory. Due to the increase in DHS samples, the current inventory is critically low. Based on Market Research, it has been determined that Gentueri., Inc. Is the only company that can provide envelopes that meet the custom specifications. Market research has determined that other manufacturing and specifications cannot be met to meet the required specifications needed for the Laboratory Division. While speaking to other companies, pricing was significantly higher and the dimensions could not meet FDDU specifications and ultimately could not meet the requirement. Therefore, the best value to the FBI rests with procuring these envelopes directly from Gentueri. This notice will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of Jonathan Johnson via email at jejohnson3@fbi.gov by Wednesday, February 10, 2021 (12:00 pm Eastern). Only timely email responses will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses received in response to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
