The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) hereby submits a notice of a sole source, fixed-price delivery order using FAR 16.505 (a)(4)(ii), “Requirements for use of items peculiar to one manufacture shall be justified and approved using the format(s) and requirements from paragraphs (b)(2)(ii)(A), (B), and (C) of this section, modified to show the brand-name justification”. The delivery order awardee is Colossal Contracting, LLC, located at 304 Harry S Truman Parkway, Suite G, Annapolis, MD 21401 and the GWAC contract number is NNG15SD72B. Competition was solicited for the requirement pursuant to the terms and conditions of the NASA SEWP V GWAC. This action is for brand name Cisco IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi solution deliverables. The Cisco Wi-Fi solution product and application suite is a direct upgrade to the Bureau’s existing Cisco 5508 Wireless LAN Controllers and 3125 Access Points. This will enable the Bureau to employ a reliable and secure Wi-Fi infrastructure to seamlessly collaborate mission critical applications that require mobility such as inmate health applications and potential future endeavors such as education, rehabilitation, security, and mobility. This procurement request is part of the First Step Act (FSA) WiFi deployment project. The justification for an exception to fair opportunity (Brand Name) is being conducted in accordance with FAR 16.505. This procurement action was awarded to Colossal Contracting, LLC., DUNs number 831720946, on 09/12/2021 for a total award amount of $51,676,317.97, using delivery order ID number 15BNAS21FWFM10002. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541519 – Other Computer Related Services. The size standard is 150 employees. This announcement constitutes the only announcement for this requirement.
