The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is conducting market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 10 for an upcoming requirement for Gender Reassignment Surgery (GRS). This RFI is not a pre-solicitation nor a solicitation announcement. The FBOP is requesting information for GRS services. The locality for services will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. The GRS services are anticipated to include the following: Inpatient/Outpatient hospital and physician services for: male-to-female (top and bottom) female-to-male (top and bottom) The purpose of this questionnaire is to gather information for the upcoming requirement of GRS services. This RFI is a means of identifying interested firms who may be capable of providing GRS services to include male-to-female (top and bottom), and female-to-male (top and bottom). The result of this notice will assist in the determination of the appropriate procurement methods. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this anticipated procurement action based on the responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. The FBOP is requesting capability information as market research to solicit the anticipated requirement. Interested firms shall include all pertinent information detailing their ability to comply with the GRS requirement. Firms interested and capable of performing the services outlined above are encouraged to provide a response to the questionnaire. Up to three additional pages may be submitted identifying your capability in providing the GRS services.
