The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BBNF26B00000005 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project titled Replace Chillers 1, 2, & 3 at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) located in Miami, Florida. FDC Miami is a federal correctional facility located at 33 NE Fourth Street, Miami, FL 33132. The work to be performed in association with this project includes the following scope: The FBOP is seeking a contractor to conduct the professional installation, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for replacing the existing (3) chillers and all ancillary HVAC components to include circulating water pumps, piping, valves, controls, electrical, mechanical and plumbing services. New replacement units will consist of water-cooled, modular, centrifugal chillers rated at a minimum of four-hundred fifty (450) tons each run to complete (3) systems.
