The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of an Optometrist for inmates at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Victorville, California. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621320- Offices of Optometrists. (Size Standard: $8,000,000). This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. The Government contemplates awarding of a contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The anticipated Effective Date of Award (EDOA) is October 1, 2020. The performance period will be for a base year, being 12 months from the estimated date of award and four 12 month option periods. The requirement for these services will consist of an estimated 864 sessions per year (9 days a month, 8 hours per day). Each session is defined as one (1) hour in length. It is anticipated the services will be required Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Normal work hours are between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A mutually agreed upon schedule between the contractor and the Bureau of Prisons will be determined following award of a contract. This is not a new requirement. Currently there is no incumbent for these services at FCC Victorville. All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations.
