The Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCC Tucson, Arizona, intends to make a single award for the provision of mortuary services to a responsible contractor who can provide the services in accordance with the stated requirements. Provision of mortuary services may include, but is not limited to transportation, embalming, body preparation, clothing, filing of certificates and permits, casket, shipping, cremation, and burial services. Mortuary services shall be performed for male inmates housed at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) located in Tucson, Arizona, who become deceased during incarceration. General information regarding the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and its facilities is located at www.bop.gov. These services are a contractual agreement. The services will be provided on an as needed basis with the contractor. Telephone calls will be made to the contractor from the Contracting Officer only. Contractor must be available for telephone calls 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, to include holidays. Service will not be required to take place on holidays. The contract period will be in effect from the date of award (on or around September 4, 2020) through Spetember 30, 2025, in the format of a base year plus 4 additional option periods.
