This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from market research will be vital in the formation and set aside status of the solicitation. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Solid Waste Removal/Food Waste Disposal services at the Federal Correctional Institution (hereinafter referred to as FCI) located in Terminal Island, California. The contractor will provide Solid Waste Removal/Food Waste Disposal services in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract year shall consist of a 12 month base year with four 12 month option years for renewal. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested, nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Research Questionnaire will be available on or about September 3, 2021, and will be distributed solely through the Beta.Sam website at https://www.sam.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the market research questionnaire survey is Friday, September 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time (CT). All responses to the Market Research Questionnaire may be submitted via email to llwheeler@bop.gov. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone requests or written requests for the market research questionnaire will be accepted.
