This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from market research will be vital in the formation and set aside of the status of the solicitation. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for NAICS 115113 - Hay mowing, raking, baling, and chopping. Terms of Sales Hay mowing, raking, baling, and chopping: sale for removal of approximately 169.11 acres of hay field located as described below and on the attached map, within the below described time frames, and subject to all the following conditions. Area located: a. Plot A - South of the main institution, East of the Training Center, Command Center, and Firing Range. b. Plot B - East of the softball fields, and HV AC/Electric Shop. c. Plot C - East and West side of North Pond. d. Plot D - North of Staff Housing e. Plot E- West of Filter Factory across the highway. All cutting will take place within 2023, beginning with the date of award and ending October 31, 2023. Fields must be left clean and free of debris upon removal of hay. Equipment operation will be allowed between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Equipment operation will not be allowed behind the Firing Range, when range is in use. Bidders wishing to inspect the fields must make an appointment with Heath McMillan at extension 135 or Kevin Walker at extension 356, prior to entering Federal Government property. Inspection of the fields will be allowed on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine the interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement.
