Thank you! The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX, intends to issue solicitation 15B51520Q00000013 for the provision of Mobile MRI services. The contractor will provide the Mobile MRI services in the Health Services Department at FCI Texarkana, located at 4001 Leopard Drive (75501), Texarkana, TX 75505. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit price. The award will be made to the responsible vendor or individual who submits the lowest quote to the Government. More details are within the solicitation. The Contractor shall provide mobile MRI services once (1) per month (estimated) except during the months of November and December due to the holidays. The services/sessions length will be estimated at eight (8) hours per visit. The sessions will normally be scheduled between the hours of 06:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Sunday through Saturday, excluding Federal holidays. This service is currently on Sunday only. However specific days/hours will be subject to mutual agreement between the Health Services Administrator and the contractor. The Contractor will be notified in advance of the requested dates of service, types of service, and the number of inmates of inmates to be examined. The number of inmates will be determined by the Health Services staff and will vary from session to session. Based upon previously required services, 10-15 inmate procedures will be examined. These services/sessions may be adjusted to meet the needs of the Health Services Department as determined by the health Services Administrator (HSA). Required credentials and such are listed in the solicitation. The Government intends to award a requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a base year and four option years. The solicitation will be available on or about October 13, 2020 and will be distributed solely through the SAMs website (www.beta.SAM.gov). The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Mobile MRI Services for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Texarkana, TX located at 4001 Leopard Dr., Texarkana, TX 75501. The contractor shall provide Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services to the Health Services Department at the FCI. The services will be performed in a designated area behind the gate determined by the Health Services Department. The NAICS Code is 621512. The contractor will normally conduct services at a minimum of two (2) times per quarter. The services/sessions length will be a maximum of eight (8) hours per visit. The sessions will normally be scheduled between the hours of 06:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Sunday through Saturday, excluding Federal holidays. This service is currently on Sunday only. However specific days/hours will be subject to mutual agreement between the Health Services Administrator and the contractor. The Contractor will be notified in advance of the requested dates of service, types of service, and the number of inmates of inmates to be examined. The Government contemplates awarding a requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the forthcoming solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a base year, four option years and a 6 month option period. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
