This package contains all the necessary information for submitting a request for quote for evaluation. Currently Federal Correctional Institution La Tuna Laundry has two clothes washers that are more than eight years old and have exceeded their operational life expectancy due to their volume of clothes laundered. As a result, these washers experience frequent breakdowns and are extremely unreliable. To further exacerbate matters, neither brand has a local manufacturer approved repair technician to conduct proper repairs and parts for one of the machines are no longer available due to it being a discontinued model. It is with urgency that these clothes washers are replaced with new machines with readily available parts and local product repair repressentatives. Proposal: The government will supply all personel, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and labor supervision to remove and replace two clothes washers with two: Unimac 200LB., Washer Extractor, 200G high extract, graphic microprocessor, UniLinc, Opti-spray, all stainless steel, chemical injection ready, 200-240/60/3ph or a government approved equivalent. This project will include necessary conveying or lifts to move or remove the old units and set the new equipment. The government will also supply all personel, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and labor supervision for associated and necessary construction, electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, equipment and accessories. The government shall be responsible for the disposal of all existing materials from the property within strict compliance of all applicable local, state, and federal codes. This cost estimate was developed using RS Means and Market Research. All work on this project shall comply with federal, state, and local codes, UFAS, SMIAS, Life Safety, NFPA, Environmental compliance and seismic requirements. 100% of work will be accomplished through in- house labor.
