Z2FF-FCI El Reno-Replacement of Housing Unit HVAC Systems
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research, not a solicitation, to assess contractor availability and capability for a design-build construction project at FCI El Reno in Oklahoma. The anticipated Firm-Fixed-Price contract would replace and modernize HVAC systems serving five inmate housing facilities, including replacing DX cooling with a chilled-water system, new air-cooled chillers, coils, pads, piping, electrical upgrades, BAS/DDC controls, temporary cooling, TAB, commissioning, and training. Work will occur in an occupied, secure federal correctional institution with strict security compliance. A synopsis of the proposed contract action and solicitation are expected to be posted after market research is completed.
