INTRODUCTION The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Federal Medical Center intends to make a single award to a responsible entity for the provision of Advanced Occupational Training program in Cosmetology for the Federal Medical Center, Carswell, located in Fort Worth, Texas. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611511 (Size Standard: $16,500,000.00) The solicitation is being issued as a set aside 100% for small businesses. General information regarding the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and its facilities is located at www.bop.gov. The Government reserves the right to award without discussion and to make a single award. Therefore, each initial quote should contain the quoter's best terms from a cost or price standpoint. The period of performance shall begin on the effective date of award through April 1, 2023. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED The BOP has requirement to offer inmates opportunities for improvement to their educational levels and workplace skills while incarcerated. The agreement is for the purpose of providing Advance Occupational Training Program to the incarcerated students at Federal Medical Center, Carswell. The purpose of the classes is to train students for careers in the work force and to provide needed skills for RE-ENTRY employment in the community and to provide skills for existing work details within the institution. The Advanced Occupational Training Program is to include, but is not limited to the following course: Cosmetology The Contractor will direct a Cosmetology training program which will focus on required training for students to complete the Texas Department of License & Regulation Cosmetology license requirements. The initial training course is in place and will need to be maintained an updated as required by the State of Texas. The Contractor will work closely with the Supervisor of Education to establish all needed material/resources for this program. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE The training program will be performed at Federal Medical Center, Carswell. The Contractor will sign the log/binder located at the front lobby indicating the time of arrival and sign out as indicating departure time. Half sessions will not be authorized for payment. All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations. The solicitation will be made available on or about February 16, 2022 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www. Beta.Sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
