The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center Carswell, Fort Worth, Texas seeks contract services from a responsible commercial elevator company for the provision of upgrading elevator control hardware, electronic control systems for the Federal Medical Center Carswell located in Fort Worth, Texas. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238290 (Size Standard: $16,500,000.00). This solicitation is being issued as set aside 100% for small businesses. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All equipment specified in the Statement of Work must be brand name or an equal product. Should your firm choose to submit an equal product, you must submit all technical specification of the equal product to be analyzed and a technical determination issued with acceptance/non-acceptance. The elevator in need of service will be a Dover: DMC-1 Hydraulic type of elevator. The weight capacity of this precise elevator is 4,500 lbs. The original manufacture is Thyssen Krupp Elevators of America. All parts for this elevator were discontinued in 2001. A contractor will install new control boards and associated panels in the elevator car and elevator control room. PPE and consumables will be required for this project. All seismic zone requirements, environmental compliance, Life Safety, NFPA, ADA-ABA, and Federal, State and Local Codes and regulations will be considered during all phases of this project.
