The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to establish a contract for the provision of Transvaginal Ultrasound Services for female inmates located at the Federal Correctional Institution (hereinafter referred to as FCI) Waseca, MN. The physical address for FCI Waseca is 1000 University Drive, SW, Waseca, MN 56093. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed session resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consists of a 12 month base period with four (4) 12 month option periods for renewal. It is anticipated that an estimated 96 sessions will be needed per year. It is estimated that eight one-hour sessions will be needed every month. A session is defined as 1 hour. Typically, eight sessions will occur on the same calendar day. Sessions will be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Specific days will be subject to a mutual agreement between the Contracting Officer’s Representative and the Contractor. The contractor will be notified in advance of the requested dates of service, types of service, and the number of inmates to be examined.
