THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15B41519Q00000010 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Replace Air Conditioner-Visiting at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Waseca. FCI Waseca is located at 1000 University Drive, SW, Waseca, MN 56093 The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price contract for a project entitled Replace Air Conditioner-Visiting at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Waseca. The following brief synopsis should not be considered all inclusive of work required to complete the project. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work. The purpose of the project is to replace a 60 ton split air conditioning complete condensing unit and evaporator coil; to include piping, metering devices and control system, line power tie in and start up with commissioning report. See the Statement of Work attachment included with the solicitation posting (to be issued at a later date as described herein) for the complete requirements of the work. The performance period for the project will be 75 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $100,000 and $250,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238220. The solicitation will be available approximately on or about August 21, 2019. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. Any secure/locked documents uploaded with the solicitation will require an active Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps.gov) vendor registration (log in) for access as well as your Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) associated with your System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration.
