This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is conducting market research in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10 for the provision of Unarmed Guard Services. The services will be provided for federal prisoners held in the custody of the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (MCFP), that require confinement in a hospital or medical center for medical treatment. The medical facilities will be local to the MCFP. The physical address of the MCFP is 1900 West Sunshine St., Springfield, MO 65807. The contract shall consist of one 12 month base period with four additional 12 month option periods. The NAICS Code is 561612 (Security Guards and Patrol Services) with the size standard of $22.0 million. A draft copy of the Statement of Work is attached to this questionnaire. Additional details are forthcoming in the solicitation. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
