The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates the need for a firm fixed-price construction contract for the project entitled FCI Sandstone Asbestos Abatement at Federal Correctional Institute Sandstone, and intends to issue solicitation 15B41320Q00000007. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business under NAICS 562910. The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation, is considered the most advantageous to the Government based on best value. The solicitation will be available on or about December, 05, 2019 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration beta SAM.Gov website at https://beta.sam.gov. FCI Sandstone is a Federal Correctional facility located at 2300 Co. Rd 29, Sandstone, MN 55072. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials, and labor for the complete removal and certification of the work to be performed. The purpose of the project is to remove approximately 6,100 square feet of floor tile, and mastic containing asbestos from the second floor of one inmate housing unit located on the institution’s grounds. A pre-quotation meeting will be held December, 16 at 9:00 a.m. CST, see solicitation packet for contact information. Work on this project will be in and around a correctional environment. Specifics on the work schedule will be found in the Statement of Work. The period of performance for this project will be 45 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Hard copies of the solicitation will be distributed solely through the beta SAM.Gov website. All future information regarding this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Access to the Drawing attachments and technical specifications will require an active beta SAM registration. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. The Government may make awards without discussions; therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer initially. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF). Each offeror, in accordance with FAR 52.212-3, is required to complete the annual representations and certification electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) located at https://sam.gov.
