The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI Pekin) is making limited source justification for the acquistion of (2) 2 x 40, refrigerated containers to replace the downed reefers in the FCI Pekin Food Services Department until a competitive buildings and facilites contract can be awarded, and completed to replace the Food Service reefers. In accordace with FAR 6.302-2(b)(1), this was an unusual and compelling situation which precluded full and open competition. The acquistion did not exceed the simplified acquistion threshold.
