FCI Englewood is seeking REPLACEMENT CONTROLS FOR AN EXISTING SOLAR FIELD: The existing solar water heating system controllers consists of a series of parabolic troughs used to heat water that feed into the FCI Englewood Domestic Hot Water system through heat exchangers. The working fluid inside the solar collectors is a 40% propylene glycol/60% water mixture, circulated through the array with a 5 HP pump. A heat exchanger inside the storage tank transfers heat energy from the array to the non-potable water inside the tank. This project shall include layout, supply, and installation of replacement master and local controllers and integration into the existing Johnson Controls Metasys DDC system while maintaining the existing instrumentation and infrastructure in place. ****Closing date extended**** THIS REQUEST CLOSE DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 12/30/2020 at 2:00PM (MST). QUESTION: Would it be possible to re-use the existing conduit runs for signal wires or would all new conduit be needed? ANSWER: Yes, you can re-use the existing conduit. QUESTION: Is there an I/O list available? ANSWER: All information regarding Input/Output was in the SOW and attached reference materials. QUESTION: Will the selected contractor be able to access the program for the existing control system up award? ANSWER: Yes QUESTION: What historian (data storage) capacity (days/weeks/months) is required for the new system? ANSWER: Minimum of 30 days QUESTION: Is remote access to the control system and interface via cellular devices desired or prohibited? ANSWER: Remote access is prohibited.
